"We are not here to teach the Zakuulans manners." The smaller human had removed the skull-faced mask he normally wore when doing their Master's work. It had been left aboard his ship, out of deference to security in the area of Zakuul where they were going. The hood of his black robe was pulled low, and his taller companion could only see his pale skin and neatly-trimmed black beard.

The crimson-skinned Pureblood growled and shouldered his way through the crowd, ahead of his companion. "We won't gain their respect by bowing and scraping to them." He attempted to push another local out of the way and found himself frozen in place by the Force. He glared over his shoulder at the smaller Sith, who was lazily holding a hand up towards him. "Let me go."

A chuckle from the black-robed Sith echoed around them and, for a moment, made the Pureblood's stomach turn to ice. "Very well." Lord Vyllic released his hold on the bigger Sith and looked up at him mildly. "We are outsiders here. Teaching them respect is as pointless as teaching a Tu'kata to dance."

.:As pointless as teaching a rabid Kath hound to follow orders?:. The Pureblood glared at Vyllic, but left the thought unsaid.

Vyllic chuckled softly and looked up at the Pureblood, giving him a glimpse of an orange eye and the implant that replaced his missing right eye. "Do you think our Master sends me to command obedience?" His hand rested on the hilt of his saberstaff.

The feeling of ice in his gut had bloomed into a thousand icy spiders, wriggling their way around his insides in a familiar pattern. It was a feeling the Pureblood had come to associate with the Force, with danger, with power just out of sight. He took a step back from Vyllic. He realized what he did a second after he did it, and it made him scowl angrily, but he didn't take that step back. "I think our Master is mad to allow you away from Dromund Kaas." He crossed his arms and glared. "Even with an escort."

"Tell you a secret?" Lord Vyllic didn't wait for a reply, but instead used the Force to push the Pureblood into a darkened corner, out of the immediate sight of passers-by. He leaned in close, close enough that his breath hovered just above the Pureblood's red skin. He could feel the Force, so strong in the other Sith. It was like an inferno, heat he drew away from the other Sith as if it were air. He could feel the moment the Pureblood realized the danger he was in. The fear that poured off of him was gratifying. The other Sith started to struggle, but it was far too late for that. Vyllic had him, fed off his strength in the Force. Vyllic reached for his saberstaff and leaned in close. "You're not the escort, you're the bait." The saberstaff hummed to life, Vyllic was awash in the Force, and the Sith's body fell down the street, lifeless.

Vyllic thumbed the control of a stealth field generator attached to his belt as Knights came running. Heat roiled through him as he watched the two Force users examine the body. A body that he'd just made sure felt much like the ones that the pest that plagued his Master was searching for. The unknown pest that searched for him. As the Knights prepared the body for transport, Vyllic stepped further back into shadows and pushed a button on a comlink attached to his wrist. He hissed softly, "Stage one complete."

Aboard The Shadow's Maw, a droid sprang to life and began the laborious process of encoding the first success signal and sending it back to Dromund Kaas.
